What a day for beach detecting..not exactly global warming , but ...

Finished a project this morning ( painted 4 radiators) ...that kept me warm for a while:smoke:

Then as luck would have it , by mid-morning it started to "warm" from 14* all the way up to 19* ..so I cleaned up the paint spills on the floor, and headed out.:clapping:

It was beautiful out there..no wind, the sun was blasting out trying to warm things up, and the fresh air was exhilarating

found only a few items in the 3 hr. hunt...then I started to not be able to feel the scoop in my hand anymore  so headed home

Here's some pics of today's finds..also found the usual clads..quarters and pennies

tomorrow promises to be in the 30's...can't wait!

thangs for looking

After browning the porkers, I get a casserole dish...butter the bottom; place a couple of layers of thinly sliced potatoes in the casserole dish; place the porkers on top of the potatoes; and then pour Lipton Onion Soup mix diluted in about 3 cups of H20 over the porkers. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil; bake at 350* for about 40 minutes and voila!...cholesterol city as "they" say..but deeeeeeeeelicious!

white will not retain the heat very well...., nor will silver ( we have silver painted radiators upstairs).

He said the best was flat black for retaining heat...although it might not look attractive.

From an aesthetical standpoint, I don't care about attractive/ unattractive as long as we get the proper heat.

What say you , savy friends? Black paint is the way to go on radiators?

Thanks for any feed back
