Went for a hike today and it was great

They were only a hundred feet or less from the water. I have see beaver near my house chewing trees. They will go quite a ways fromt he water for a meal.

They are very common around here
 
will come up and slap their tails on the top of the water across the lake and I used to think it was a big ole bass jumping. Then I found their dam, and saw them swimming. For some reason I went the other way. I could just see them getting into my boat! :yikes:

in canada once but mama came out a charging. I lost my presence of mind once and almost picked a young otter. I musta had a nuts moment :D
