So .... I'm out at the local park doing some coin hunting. There was a gentleman there who was flying a remote controlled airplane. He seemed interested in what I was doing so he came over and said hello. He asked me some questions and made the comment that he might be interested in getting a detector but that he had too many hobbies already.
Now the funny .... He told me that he had an artificial hip and asked if I would swing the detector over his hip. He said that since he got it he had never been through an airport security check point and he wondered if it would be picked up. I said what the heck, swung the coil over his hip and got a nice ping. He was happy and we both had a good laugh.
Anyone else ever .... ahem .... "detected" an artificial hip?
