Well, I signed on the dotted line and paid for .........

She packs a Ruger SP101 .357 and is a very good shot. I Usually carry a Para-Ordanance . 45 when I am in more social settings, and a SW model 29 .44 mag when in the woods. A Rem. 870 6 shot 3-inch mag 12 gauge with a 18 inch barrel and a pressure swithched magazine mounted flashlight is leaning up against the bed at night. I hope none of us ever has to fire another shot, but it is good to be prepared. Welcome to the world of pistol shooting. It is a lot of fun. I have been collecting guns since I was 12 and have a few interesting things that go bang. Where I live Nancy and I have both used a gun, but just to eliminate calf and cat eating coyotes. Two legged predators are far more dangerous. HH DC

Might I suggest you get a copy of the book, "The Concealed Handgun Manual" by Chris Bird, fifth edition. It has info on all fifty states conceal carry permits, what to expect after you shoot someone, the type of ammo to load it with, holsters and all kinds of other good information.

In other words, it teaches a bit about the responsibility of carrying a gun into the world of public domain....

THEN I suggest you PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! Join a club and shoot in competition. ISPC and other such things go far in getting you familiar with that new piece of technology you are packing around. Take classes, learn all you can because...after all....

The most deadly gun in the world is one left in a drawer and never used and is unfamiliar with the owner. They kill more than the one in constant use.

I have several handguns, several more shooting awards, years of handloading and competition expierience and yet I still haven't had to shoot anyone....yet.

Just to give you a heads up, you better buy all the ammo you want now, because once our President-elect gets into office he intends to raise taxes on ammo to the point we can't afford to buy it. According to the NRA that is the way he will get around his claim that he supports the 2nd Amendment. If you are a gun owner, he is not your friend!!!
