my first hand gun and I do mean first hand gun of a few more to come yesterday.

I think a few folks, Brian, Vernon, Bubba, Elson, DC, Ed, Charlie, Lawrence, Brandy and a few others here can appreciate what I am talking about ;)

It's on back order right now but that's OK, I can wait because I have waited 54 years and never owned a hand gun, the only hand gun I have ever fired was a .45 in boot camp back in 1972  I'm very good with a rifle tho, they just don't hand these out every day, 9 out of 10 bull eyes from 500 yards just using the rifle site

A strange feeling came over me when I sign on that dotted line and just bought my first hand gun, it was a feeling of relief, I just felt the pressure leave and then the reality set in, it was weird to say the least, when it comes in I will be going to the firing range with a gun pro that will show me how to handle the new Kimber .45 Pro II and give me some lessons on hand guns and how to use them safely!

I just feel it is better to be safe in today's world that we live in and at least have a fighting chance if the situation ever comes up, I hope that situation never does but if it does, say hello to my new little friend, got it at dealer cost, $769.51, should be in by the end of January, a Glock is next on my shopping list

saved me from getting robbed or worse one morning when I was opening the gate at our shop at 5:45 AM with no one else around. The guy sure didn't expect to be starring down the barrel after pulling up against the bumper of my truck and trying to get me to come to his car window. He sure did get out of there in a hurry and he had good cause to, I will not be a victim. Our shop is not in the best neighborhood, In fact it is in the hood. I've not had any trouble there since but will not let down my guard. It was the first time I ever had to pull my gun on anyone but I sure am glad that I had it. Wise purchase for sure Ray, you can't go wrong with the way times are today....Flipper out

talking about , our shop is also in the hood and a not so friendly area if zhit hits the fan, I don't have a carry permit yet but after I get my feet wet and play around with this new hobby of mine I will get one with the right gun to carry, it's my right and I plan to use it.

Thanks Jim, good to know there is a reason for my thinking

me looking into those fancy glasses that bring stuff up close, he said Pvt. MoZhit, why did you miss that last bull eye, I said sir, you were standing on my back  .......... :usmc:
