Weekend Hunts

It was nice getting out over the weekend and swinging the MXT again.. The ground was easy to dig after having 2" of much needed rain. A few good silvers, 1 silver. It was a stamped "STERILING SILVER" size 11 thimble. It was in excellent shape. The dirt covered silver half dollar and the silver quarter were found on the first outing. Sorry about not showing the picture of the half dollar but I'm having a contest for our local club to guess the date.
I also found a couple of wheat cents and then another flat thimble that I'm guessing is made out of aluminum. Had a lot of fun playing in the dirt again. All were found in relic mode with trigger forward and my 9.5 stock coil. Thanks for looking and HH, Nancy

Thanks Vito! I wish more would share their finds on here also. HINT HINT HINT!!!

Great finds ! I hope after your club meeting you post the picture of " The mystery half " . I'm going to guess it's a 1943 Walker .:thumbup:My recently acquired MXT All pro has already bagged me a clad 1976 Bicentennial half .:)

Thank you Dirt Doctor! I'll post a picture after the Club meeting for sure! Way to go on finding your Bicentennial half. That's pretty cool. You don't come across too many half dollars these days. HH, Nancy

I can hear ya, Nancy.

And oh yes, I'll post my finds if goin' hunting next future.
But right at the moment there is a lot of rain and the fields I'm going to hunt are not harvested.
So I still have to be patient...

Thank you Vito, The farmers have been harvesting the fields around this area and they are very dry. Dust everywhere! I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for posting your finds Nancy. Hope this "kick starts" others to post too. Not everyone can be as lame as me posting photos. I have a few nice coins, and some crusty ones too.
I'll show them all one day.

It would be nice if others posted their finds also. I love seeing everything.........junk to coins. If you need help, just give me a shout. HH, Nancy

OK , Nancy junk and all ( sorry for the pale pictures) .This was the second hunt with the MXT All Pro , the one which I found the clad half . My next hunt ( if I can find a little time for myself ) is going to be this huge neglected sports field which I and many others before me have pounded for years and years . On a very rare occasion an old silver coin will still pop up .Even clad is scarce there now and the signals are few and far between but as most of us know there is always something left .

Thanks for showing us your finds. I can see the date on that big half dollar. Way to go! Good luck with working the old sports field. Thanks again and HH, Nancy

Thanks for looking and HH, Nancy

Well at least the E Trac does have a purpose..........it will make you appreciate the MXT even more. :)

Gregg, That's a good way to think about it.

Thank you Dirt Doctor. It looks like I should give it a better bath of soap and water.

Thanks EJ! Sure was nice seeing that big silver rim in the dirt. HH, Nancy
