Waterproof Connectors

New member
Aloha guys,
Been following this site for about 5months now and decided to register about 3 month ago. I gained a ton wealth of nowledge on this site. Made a few friends. Been detecting for about a year now he in Hawaii. Born and raised. Surfing has been my pasasion all my life but due to two back injuries my surfing days are over. Now my new passion METAL DETECTING! Met up with an awsome bro about a month ago. You guys all know him HawaiMDer (Ken). Can't let him get all the loot. Anyway Im a deihard excal fan. It's the first machine I was introduced to (I'v used others) but for how we detect is a bit dfferent and you cant bet the excel. Back to what I wanted to ask does anyone know where I can get good waterproof connectors or at lest good decent water resistant ones. Reason is that I need to change my coils out for the different locations and style that I hunt. It's all free dive with a snorkle and mask. My main is a 10" but I need the 8" at times.
Much Mahalos in advance for the help. mano

Agree! Agree! Ikelite is tops unless you go into the commercial grade used for submersibles.

http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/ics_conn.html

That shows several they have and they specify how many connectors/contact pins on each one.

http://www.subconn.com/default.asp?objtype=mproductgroup&func=showdetail&id=1401&ilanguage=dansk&siteid=1031

These are probably too pricey. Made for ROVs. Suprising sometimes for a small application they are affordable.

Good Luck! jim

Aloha Guys thank for the info. I know about the ikelite. But trying to keep it slim and compac. I'll look more into the subconn.com. I found a few but you got to by in bulk. Thanks again, Mano
