1966 Model 19-2 S@W 357 Combat Magnum (blued) snub nose. K-frame. The model 19-2 was first shipped from the factory in December of 1966 and according to the serial # this was one of those Dec. '66 guns. Making her a little more desirable to collectors than the later run magnums.

It didn't come with the original diamond Magna grips so I replaced the pachmyers that was on it with Hogues because I like the finger grooves better. She has a pinned barrel with a recessed cylinder, which I love because all energy is forced down the barrel and not out of the side of the cylinders. I eventually will replace the Hogues with some sort of wood grip so when I carry it on my belt, my shirt won't ride up or catch on the rubber grip.

I'd love to see some of y'all's favorite carry pieces and even though I appreciate the Semi-automatics, I am really fond of the revolvers. Post 'em up.

Has she been re-blued ?

There is no such thing as an "unfired" gun .
Unless of course you build it yourself and never test fire it.

I thot maybe i saw some 'rounding' in the lettering on the frame ,that's why i asked.

Maxed out Kimber stainless Gold Match .45 auto. Options include night sights, magwell, ambi-safetys, adjustable sites. I've been carrying this for about 15 years; wore out 3 holsters. Weighs 3+ pounds loaded, I list to starboard when I walk (just kidding).

was taught them that guns are not toys, therefore there was never a 'toy' gun of any kind in our house.
Bein a gunsmith i was able to ahhh..lets say..adjust..yeah..that's it. i 'adjusted' a few rifles to physicaly fit them and they began shootin
around 5 years of age. AFTER they could dissmantle, clean and id all of the 6 er 7 , maybe 5 parts of thier single shot bolt action .22's.
I had inlaws that just would not follow my policy and would continualy try and give my kids 'toy' guns at Christmas and birfdays only to have my kids say.." no thank you" and hand 'em right back to 'em.
Some o' the 1st targets my boys shot at were fruits and veggies and eggs.
Leaves a lastin impression on 'em when ya tell e'm .." that's what a bullet will do to your body ".
Had 'em shootin small rodents and squirrels and sech so they could see the damage and get the blood on thier mingies and very tender young ages.
Heck, Mike got his 1st bow kill, chipmonk, at the age o' 5.

PS.. a fishin pole is a lot quieter and a lot less violent.:punch:
