I have heard that VA has provided some ptsd vets with detectors to give them something to help the minds.

I have provided several metal detectors to the V.A. in Denver, and Aurora, Colorado. These are veterans that were taken off the street, given an apartment, and focused therapies. I'm proud to say I have consulted with social workers and therapists at the VA on metal detecting therapy. I know of at least two other groups promoting this therapy as well.
