Was a beautiful 80 degree day so dragged my sickly, spindly, body out to a big park at the edge of town and didn't find doodly squat but got some sore

It was absolutely pathetic. I found one stinking penny in one of the soccer fields. Even after all the rain we've had the ground in most places was as hard as concrete and I could hardly stick the probe in the ground.. This is the same park that I hunted last summer and pulled $35-$40 out of the soccer fields over a three day period hunting 2-3 hours each day. Really getting my year started off with a bang. Going to have to scrounge up some new areas to hunt.

Bummer Unk.

At least you got the fresh air and exercise, but that stuff
can kill ya. A little treasure would be nice. Maybe a 3
carot diamond with an ounce of gold. LOL. Better luck
next time. Regards, Jim

Likely the same weather that kept you in the house kept those people off that soccer fields.
That will defenately not yield much for clad finds !

At least you were able to get out and try to find something, that's a blessing in itself. Hope you get to feeling better and have better luck next time you go detecting.

Yeah the fields were bare of people that day except for the guy mowing them.. I figured as nice as it was somebody would be playing something. But I'll give them a few days to get seeded and try again. This is a huge park with eight soccer fields side by side.
