Yes, this Simplex is the 1st generation, New in box, and is covered by 2 year warranty when you register it. I connected the coil and powered it up while still in box and it works perfectly. It comes with the green edition WHP, Simplex hat, environment cover, wired headphone adapter, a spare lower rod in case you get a second coil. These extras were found in my detecting closet so I'm adding them in. These have been discontinued but a few smaller dealers do have them. That's where I got it...
