VX3 pinpointing

New member
Im new with the vx3 and i was wondering how is the pinpointing is it dead on,the reason i ask is i had the v3i with 9.5 coil and could not pinpoint with it .the color bars kept jumping. Thanks

They both pin point the same and use the same software. Make sure you have the VCO turned on.

Do you mean you had the V3i with the D2, and now you have the Vx3 with the 950 coil? You will find that the 950 is easier to pinpoint than with the D2.

I was using the 9.5 coil on the v3i.I really dont know what I was doing wrong. The three bars would jump alot so the pinpointing was very hard to do.Thanks

Make sure your VCO is turned on and pinpoint by audio. The bars should still show which is the dominate frequency. The bars being jumpy could either be a low battery voltage or EMI.
