Vortex starting to ship

great to hear... hope to see some legit feedback on the unit.
I have one coming but it will be months before i am able to even give the Vortex a try due to my wife's dementia taking a turn for the worst, not even sure I want to continue even detecting any more because of what is going on in my life rite now, I have several detectors I am thinking about posting up for sale just because of my lack of interest and my wife's failing health

Gee, oldkoot, I am terribly sorry to hear about your wife. She and you will be in my prayers. My father just passed away two weeks ago (at 93!), after spending the past two years in a nursing home because of his dementia. Those last two years were difficult for both him and me. So yeah, I’m afraid that you might be in for a rough stretch. Cherish the time she has left. The treasure in the ground will still be there when you feel up to swinging again…. In the meantime we’ll be lifting you both up

Sorry to hear. Very tough situation with dementia. Family comes first. However, during the process of caring for your wife, don’t forget respite for yourself.

Praying for y'all.

Oldkoot...It is definitely a frustrating illness for both of you. My wife and I are in the same situation. Metal detectors, even if you can't hunt are a good escape, so keep them around. It's what makes new detector release extra nice. Vortex should be good for this.

I can't wait to hear y'all posting your results with this long awaited machine.
I still haven't seen any great in depth vids on it.

A few people are getting them and starting to post about their experiences. I have heard about an update coming that will correct some issues that have been noted by users

I am sure it will take a couple of updates to get the Vortex firing on all cylinders. I have a New In Box VX9, but I will have to wait for a break in the weather to test it

I do like the way the menu is laid out and the large screen, I also like seeing 3 targets on the screen at the same time

Looks like the first Batches of Vortex Models have some problems. I think it will be a good detector once the glitches are sorted out.
Typical of any new release.
I'm anxiously await the bug free version.
It's looking to me like Garrett put a little of White's V3i magic into it.
Without out the excessively large tuning data base.
