VOLUME??????

So am I to understand that we may be able to update these detectors ourselves via firmware and a dongle as a possible (key word possible) solution. Is this info solid or speculation?

---speculation--- at this time !

I just called whites today about the problem and was told maybe a week or two to figure on what to do.
If you sent in your post card they will notify you about the fix.
Mean while I will have to use my earplugs and hope and pray the bears won't attack me while in the woods.

Any update on this volume question? Is there word from Whites yet? I just decided to get a Vision and I am wondering if there will be some sort of recall or other modification that may require me to send the detector or headphones back to Whites for....

I don't find it too much of a problem AS at first. I may just be getting used to it.:buds:

I went out today for few hours made sure I had my ear plugs , tested the vision for about two hours I ran coin and jewlery and hi pro and all I can say is that it is right on when pulling out zincs and nickels I was fooled three times with the quarters I had good strong signals but when I dug ,it was a rusted bottle cap. Then I would get good signal of a quarter it would read 4 " but when I pinpointed I noticed that the sound was low so I dug any way but the target was not at 4 " I stood up and pinpointed still getting 4" dug in the same hole but I went a little further like 10 " and found a copper cover it looked like a bullit, but it was not. Then I found a signal 91 92 same thing with the sound dug down 4" nothing, I new it was deeper but it had to be junk the graph was saying it was big .have you guys experience this yet maybe my detector is defective, never had this with my dfx

OK I dont have wireless H/F but try this, Go to expert menu enter go to configure enter go to sound effects enter go to

redbird I do not think your detector is defective, what you and a lot of ex DFX owners have to come to terms with is the fact you are using a dd coil, the fact is you are going to be finding a lot of deep iron with this coil as well as deep coins.

Dig everything your soon get used to the coil

Sent mine in lets see how fast it will take to recover . I did try my heaophones but I did not hear anything until I put them half way . I have gray ghost and they do work fine on my other detector ,Also I found that the coil would react to slight gentile hitting anyone slse?
