I got out Sat.evening for a while and found several old coins and relics at my favorite old courthouse. Will post pictures tomorrow when I get to my office as am on dialup here at home and to slow.
Anyway about depth.I got a good solid penny/dime hit that showed 8" on meter and the soil their is not good to say the least.
I dug a nice deep plug and target was still in the bottom of hole acording to my uniprobe.I was getting curious by now and so carefully moved a little bit of dirt at a time until I just saw a little green metal and then pulled my tape measure and very carefully measured from the surface to the wheat penny and it was 8-1/4".
This may seem like no big deal to those getting small coins at 12"+ but here in this soil over 8" on a penny is very good .And that depth is very good with my CZ3D,F75,SE Pro and E-Trac just to name a few of the machines I have hammered this courthouse with.
I also dug a 3 ringer at about the same depth that was loud and clear as well,Ray.
PS. cold rain all day today so all I could do is play with the Vision and E-Trac in the house.
