Video of AKA Sorex Pro

Ground balance is auto or manual....it is not preset. When you enter the GB mode it is in an auto mode which simply means when you lower the coil it will look at the ground signal and balance to it. Once it GB's in auto it will give a tone indicating it is done. At this point you can get out of GB or you can go to manual GB and make any changes you like...for instance if you would like it to be slightly positive or negative or..just to be sure the GB is correct to your taste. Also when you first enter GB, and it is in auto, you can immediately go to manual and just manual GB instead..if you prefer that over an auto ground balance.

It also has an autrac feature. However this only comes into play after you have done a GB first and then only makes slight changes to the GB...it will not make large adjustments. Just sort of fine tunes the GB if the ground has slight changes during the hunt. The level of autrac is adjustable and can also be turned off.

Besides that,to change GB manually is not only an option, but has a sense too.Making GB to the minus direction by 2-3 points will bring extra 10-15% on depth for coils, but some falsing could appear at the same time.On interesting spots, you should try to go by this way.
On the other hand,to change GB manually to the (+) direction with 2-3 points will bring more comfortable detecting with an abscence any falsing. But 5-10% could be cut from depth and you should be attentive to check if bigger non-ferrous targets are caught by the detector.Better to say, these targets will be caught in any case, but GB processing can change their signals horizontally if we say about their hodographs and not to show them on monitor and not to sound at the same time.
So,GB option in all AKA detectors is very important thing,I should say-the most important thing for being lucky when detecting.

I've owned a Signum for a few months. Only been out a handful of times. First time out I nailed a quarter at 10" ,not in the boost mode. that's as deep as I have found a quarter last year with my Explorer. This machine is very sensitive to gold rings, compared to my explorer, and its very comfortable to swing, well balanced and lighter than my Ex. I feel the performance is better, and the ergonomics are great, that's why I parted with the SE Pro. The Sig works well in my soil.
