What kind/brand video camera do you use when metal detecting. I see some people use it for land detecting and others use them in and under the water. How do you operate a camera and detect at the same time?

Matt you should talk with some of the regular video posters (OldBeechNut, Surfdigger,etc..) These guys do a lot of the instructional vids on the different forums and on Youtube and are chok full o knowledge about what your after. Good luck!

The video that I posted, was one that I found Online, Just to show the Clarity of the video from this camera.

My buddy just bought one and took it with him to Mexico.. and the Video clarity is the same...

it's an awesom lil camera/ Camcorder.. He did say that to have an extra battery handy for extended use,, and a larger memory card..

MT,........... I like the Kodak, very nice....I have the Kodak HD Zi8, the brother to the one you show..just mine is not waterproof...great for beach and family vid's, plus it fits in your hand..only problem is I have 3 sets of batteries {rechargeable/good}, and a 16 gig card for it, and still can video only about 2 hours..but the picture is HD crystal clear. And it's great for concerts, low light ..I got a waterproof bag {aquapac} for it and it is suppose to allow underwater video, but it takes away from the quality...I sure like that one, the Kodak playsport...is on the list.
My other 2 vidcams are the Tachyon XC 2010, both can go under water, and take good video, but not HD..they mount to the side headphones, can record 16 Straight hours of video with the energizer ultimate lithiums {2} batteries at 5 dollars a two pak...so I just turn it on and detect, no on, off's..{only problem is you have to set down watch the full hunt to find the good finds in the video, so if you hunted for 8 hours, editing will take you awhile}.150 each for the camaras...one other thing, I can shoot it in 3d with both camara's...detecting in 3D? Not anytime soon....here is the tachyon quality video...family day.........Not bad, but not HD...

well i just bought a liquid image dive mask from ebay. i seen the videos and wow pretty clear and keeps your hands clear. mine is the 320 high def version and they say it is a 750 p for high def. we will see i am going diving this morning with the mask.

[size=large]Thanks for all the input. After doing my research I have decided to get the Kodak Playsport. All the reviews looked good on this camera and I don't need a full size camcorder as I don't use it that much. :clapping:

Check out the Gopro cameras too. Soo many ways to mount them!!

I think these videos are shot with a gopro helmet HD camera.
