China, Japan, and Russia. The Mandarin is the most colorful duck in the world. However it's U.S. counterpart, the American Wood Duck, runs a very close second. It is impossible to capture their beauty with a camera (I've tried). Every single feather is iridescent and they absolutely "sparkle" in the sunlight.
