Vaquero depth vs Outlaw disc

What would you consider the right machine for coin shooting then? I hunt a lot of older home sites, parks, church yards, etc. for old coins in Michigan where the soil is sandy and pretty neutral in most places.

any detector that can do well in iron will find coins at old sites, but I think the hard one is iron down lower then covered with modern trash its hard slog pulling deeper stuff out of there, best machine for those conditions hard to say every detector will find you something in those conditions if its there, me I would take my minelab to those spots, not saying other don't find stuff there they do but the FBS2 is the best at it.

"When it comes to the Outlaw, the disc is a bit different than the Vaq with a wider range near the top, according to 53Silver it can disc out a dime but still get quarters, and that just might make a difference on everything I talked about above and make the whole process much easier but I have never swung one so I don't know."

Yes, this is true about the Outlaw... But it is even better than that... The Outlaw can disc out a clad dime and still get a silver dime! This ability is lost somewhat with a DD coil, but with the 8" doughnut the Outlaw can easily disc out a clad dime AND copper penny and still hit on a silver dime. Clad quarters do not disc out.

This is a great ability! But you do sacrifice some depth when setting the disc that high.
