Only have had the V3i for 5 days and have done 5 hunts. The first 2 hunts were kind of scary. It is different. My hunting partner has a V3i and has been very patient at helping me. Thanks for looking and Happy Trails....Z

Just keep at it, it will only get better.

It looks like you are off to a great start.........

I too just got a V3I, have had it out for about 5 hunts & its starting to come together for me. I love the polar plot screen!

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I am just trying to get familiar with the detector. Thanks again....Happy Trails.....Z

I go out one time a week to school yards and hunt clad and that helps to learn all the tones. :twodetecting::whites::crazy:

There seems to be a lack of V3i information in the forums. Anybody have a real program they can share?

You are kidding, right? This is the World's largest database on the V series with almost 3000 threads and 25,000 posts. Just about every problem you may encounter has been discussed in past posts.

All of the programs built into the V3i are very good and all that is really needed is to tweak them to your own personal likes, ground conditions and hunting style. If you click on the top post, Reference links, there is a program called Magics program that has been tweaked and seems to work well in the Midwest. I use the stock Hi Pro, tweaked, and have great results.
