If you find a program that you like, you can make changes to it. In Coin and Jewelry, you can change the tones for different targets. The default is that tone ID is off. So, to set tone ID on, you can either zoom the audio settings live control or go to the audio menu in the expert menu. Under search audio, select the tone ID checkbox. Then you will have a different tone for each VDI in increasing order (standard tones). You can also adjust the tones for the targets you want. If you select custom tones, you can do this. So say you want to set VDIs -78 to -43 to tone 100 (just an example), go into the custom tones, select VDI -78 and set its tone to 100. Press enter and the up arrow key (or it might be the down arrow - I forget - I'm going off memory) until you get to VDI -43. You should have 100 in all the VDIs between -78 to -43. You can do this in any program.
You can make your custom tones common but at this point, you are probably better off just fiddling with the various programs. The tones have not been excluded from the programs, so even if you change them in common, if you are running a different program, that program's settings will override the common settings. There is a way to make programs use settings in the common program, but you have to exclude them from the program you are working with.
