I would highly recommend calling garrett on that issue UN, it should still be under warranty (I hope).

Garrett is great at taking care of their customers.

:)

Ya, I don't know. Maybe the screen issue will clear up. I hate putting people through hoops on something that isn't a major break down. That's why I just patched up my arm cuff and said nothing until the headphones came apart. The screen is still functional, we'll see.

My AT Pro did the screen thing - I called and had them send me a new decal, but decided to hold off on applying it until I beat it up a little more or go to sell it, heh. (since it's not interfering with using it.). I called Garrett yesterday about my 5x8 coil - it's lost some sensitivity and is reading quarters at 37. Can't live without that, so they sent one out yesterday along with a return ticket to send the bad one back. I think I'll try ShoeGoo on this one - mainly a nice bead around the outside edge, as that's where I run in to trouble. Sneaky New Mexico rocks.

Please help me to understand. Is there just a thin applied clear liner over the display screen ? On mine, it does not seem to be water and I can read everything well enough. If this is just a minor issue I will not persue it. My only real concern was a possible internal moisture leak. Thanks for the reply.

Mine developed some black, spidery looking lines. It doesn't interfere with using the machine, so I haven't replaced it yet. Garrett did send me a new faceplate decal - it's just a heavy semi-rigid vinyl sticker. It has a peel-off backing. It's nice that it can be easily replaced in the event of accident or ???.

Well tomorrow will be one month since I emailed Canadian Treasure Seekers in Ontario, in regard to my defective headphones and arm cuff, no package yet. Not even an email. Actually this started more than a month ago . I just started waiting on the date after some back and forth to give the machines serial number etc. Eventually they sent the package out to the wrong address and I found out when I asked for a shipping status update because I was kept in the dark, were they then told me that I didn't pick up the shipped package. I would have caught this address mess up if they had sent me a heads up or a tracking notice. But I got nothing. So I was told that when Canada Post sends it back to them, (it is held for 10 days), THEN they will ship out to me. They said that they used my address that was in their system, yet I have never bought anything from them. And I made sure to send my complete address to them in an email several weeks ago. So. 1. If they had given me a shipping \tracking notice, I would have seen their address shipping mistake early and saved some time. 2. Instead of just packaging and shipping out the same items immediately upon realization of their mistake, I had to wait another 10 days for the returned (to them) package, and then wait for them to reship. How long am I supposed to wait and be patient, a month, two months ? Warranty issue or not, I would never treat a customer like this.
