Using Beach Mode Md & Mw

Okay I was doing some beach hunting at Gulf Shores last week. While in the Dry sand far away from the saltwater I was using Beach mode Md and was experiencing chatter with VDI varying around 11, sensitivity was 26. I switched while still in Dry sand to Mw and chatter went away. Anyone experience this? I am no longer at that beach so can not try different settings. I didn’t find much but a couple of coins in two days of hunting. My machine is at factory settings.

I have not used the Legend on a salt beach so this is just a guess. The Multi Wet setting is going to have alot more filtering built in to the program to counteract the salt. Multi Dry will not have as much filtering. Sometimes, even dry beach areas have alot of black sand etc...that need a little more filtering.

The fist thing to try on dry sand is back the sensitivity down until it stops. Then try bumping it up one click and see how it runs. If you are stilling having an issue switch to wet and bring sensitivity up some.
