:usaflag:Tomorrow a couple of friends of mine are taking me water hunting for my first time. Not sure what equipment I am using but I will let you all know how it goes. I'm kinda pumped for the occasion. My friend Jim says I will be "hooked" by the end of the day. Have a great weekend all !!

I think you may already be hooked McDave.
Enjoy the day i'm sure it will be a new adventure and the digging usually is easier
Can't wait 4 your report

Good luck ol bud! Hope you find lots of loot..:)

I have been beach/water hunting for the last 3 weekends. Its definintly not easy but then again I'm learning and don't have the right scoop, it's to short.
last weekend i found 3 junk rings this weekend hopefully gold.

Good fortune.

Good luck!:wiggle:Have fun!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

:usaflag:Had fun my first time out. Found a silver ring and some clad... along with nails, hair pins, bottlecaps etc. I got to use a Fisher 1280x Aquanaut, which will be my first consideration if I can ever afford a water detector. Had a lot of fun and probably killed a hundred horse-flies.

:usaflag:Well Bill. Seeing how I live in the land of 10,000 lakes and the nearest ocean is 2000 miles away, I'm not going to worry about that.

I went to our lake awhile back, just began to scan along the waterline of the shore and a sudden thunderstorm hit and sent me scurrying for cover. Thought about waiting it out, but it was a torrential downpour and even though it lightened up some, it still continued raining and I didn't want to take a chance of ruining my Ace. It would have been a good spot too, but now that the days are so hot and humid, it is overrun by people. Maybe if I go very very early, like as soon as it gets light.

:usaflag:You are right about that. The best time to go is as early as you can stand to get out of bed. These guys are usually out the door by 6am.
