:usaflag: A Little More Silver, A Little More Gold--------I Could Learn To Like This!! :detecting:

Dual Field, "Poor Man's Backhoe", "super Sifter", two hours of catching the tide right, the goodies uncovered by the receding sand and working my tail off resulted in these recovered keepers.

A half dozen or so quarters, four or five dimes, three or four nickles three wheat pennies, a mercury dime and a 1941 quarter (My Birth Year!!)

A few pieces of trash metal, some fishing tackle and two 10K rings!!

The little seahorse was one of the earlier recoveries. (It seems to be copper.)

The digging is large stones and a real workout for these old bones, but when I bring home the gold, even 10K, I'm satisfied with the hunt!

The rings were a few yards apart and were recovered one after the other.

It has happened like that a few times over the years, but not often.

Respectfully submitted,

CJ

excellent haul/ especially for a 2 hr hunt..... wonder if the rings are as old as the coins.... rings must have come off same hand....

I just discovered this gargoyle on one of the rings!

[attachment 178245 Rough2HoursofHunting11-02-10016Large.jpg]

Anyone know anything about this?

CJ

Same hand?

One of the rings is very thin and the other isn't, but how could one know??

Many years ago I found a man's large 18K wedding band close to this spot with a date from the 1800s in it!

Lots of old stuff still out there!!

CJ

Nice finds and encouraging pictures there Cupajo.

However the best part and illustration of this post is to see you are still mobile and active in the search of good memories...........:ausflag:

Hi Ivan!!

Always great to hear from you!!

The day comes, as you know, when memories are all we have!!

You and I must keep making them as long as we can Fellow Hunter!!:beers:

Thanks for your kind words Friend,

CJ

Nice treasure CJ. Those are some interesting looking rings. Hopefully someone can help in identifying the gargoyle one. The ring looks old but it seems like a strange design for a vintage ring. HH!

Hi diggin,

Nice to hear fro you.

I haven't done much hunting this year.

Most of the summer this area was under a lot of sand and now some of the stoney bottom is finally exposed.

It's hard digging, but at least there are signals to dig.

GL&HH Freind,

CJ

Thanks for your reply Goldac.

I've recovered a similar ring in the past, but still don't know what the design means.

Looks like Greek letters maybe?

And the wierd face surprised me.

I didn't see it until I sat studying the ring.

GL&HH Friend,

CJ

Hey CJ,
Been a long time since I have been on the forum, so its good to see you are still getting the gold mate.
Nice little haul for sure.
I have been pretty busy with a new job, which a bit of travel is involved.
Keep up the hunt CJ, hope to see more posts and Pic's

Aushunter - Brad....:ausflag:

Hey Brad,

Great to hear from you too mate!!:beers:

Rarely over the years have I found the entire area blown sand free, but it can happen and it's like wall to wall stone base.

Digging it is really hard work, but that's when the targets are more easily located.:clapping:

Only a little is exposed now, but I hope the trend continues, because that is like opening the treasure box!!

I'll keep you posted Friend,:yo:

CJ

Thanks Epi,:)

I really enjoy recovering the very old and worn jewelry.

One must wonder about the folks who lost them so many years ago,
