US origin Oversea Finds

Yes it is a condenser from a GM ignition distributor. It had a short wire connecting to the points that is gone. GM powered many large trucks for armed forces along with Dodge. Ford probably did also I know they powered many tanks.The flathead ford V8 tank engine was sought after for racing engines ,they were made of steel. Auto engines were cast iron and prone to cracked blocks .
 
Engine blocks look like whole, but have trace brass brazing.

Look like a Coil - Increases voltage from Battery to Hi voltage to spark plugs
