Update on V3

I am still just stoked with the deal I got on my Whites Spectra V3. I had some problems with my D2 coil and it was overloading on Sens level 7 and above. I decided that I wanted a Detech coil because I have had good luck with them in the past. I bought a 9 inch Ultimate Coil and have been very satisfied with the results. The machine is working perfectly and the 9 inch is lighter and of course out performs the D2 that was malfunctioning. I can run the Sensitivity wide open without an overload on 3 frequencies. My next step the Ultimate 7 inch is on the way and should be here on Saturday. I hunt mostly trashy parks and playgrounds so the 7 inch will be much better for those areas. It has been fun creating the machine that works best for me and I am hoping for some good hunts in the future.

Did you try adjusting the overload setting on the D2 ? I've had to do that a few times on my D1.

The coil is a D2 Whites coil for my V3 not a coil for a Deus 2. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.

Yes, the Detech coils will work. I spoke with the dealer and he said that all the newer Detech coils are "v rated"

I will hopefully do them when I get set up to do it. I found my GoPro a couple of days ago.

I didn't think to look but will look later today. I just ran the overload test and used it on a hunt it works perfectly.

No V on it but it does work great on my V3.
