It took me a week after I purchased my Ultimate coil to really get in sync with it. I wanted to sell it as well for a while but then I found a couple of deep relics that I know I had been over with other coils. They were faint and iffy signals at best, didn't sound at all like what I had been used to hearing with other coils, but once I dug a few I knew what I was listening for. Now I hunt with the Ultimate pretty much exclusively when I use my etrac. My procoil hasn't even been on my machine in a few years now.....
