Underwater Park FANTASTIC!!!!

I know nobody has heard from me in a while. I have been quite busy at a new spot. This lake has a beach on it that goes back to 1902. In the last 2 weeks I have found so much stuff in about 10 dives that it has become my favorite spot even though it is an hour and a half away from me. In one day alone I found 7 gold rings!! Anyway a lot of my friends including Deerman wanted me to post on here so here I go. Here are some of the totals so far in this hotspot.

Gold rings 17

silver rings 28 and a top to one which says LOVE on it

Silver religeous medals 12

Silver bracelets 11

Silver Barrets 2

Misc silver 2 (pendants)

Walking liberty halves 4

Barber quarters 1

Standing Liberty 3

Silver washingtons 15

Barber dimes 2

Mercs 6

Rsoey's 17

Buffalo's 4 and war nickels 2

Indian Cents 1

Also tons of other stuff, 5 cheverolet tokes, 82 wheats 2 king george, toy guns, 1935 Palistine 20 Mils coin and lots of other things way to numerous to mention. I probably have close to 100.00 in new coins. This spot was virgin untill I came upon it and it is my secret park for now. Enjoy the picts.

WOW ! Nuff said. ( I'm speechless anyway )

Nice finds Scuba......
thanks for sharing the pictures of your finds

That is a mother lode of a site ! Congrats !!

Wow! A real find there. I don't want to know where it is, I'd just like to know how you found it. Was it lengthy research, a tip, or just a real lucky trial and error situation? When I first started diving and using an UW detector, I was finding stuff like that. Then the word got out about combining the two activities and now it's just as tough of competition as it must be on the Florida beaches. jim

Good question grumpy!!!! This particular spot was found on a tip. I took a chance and it is paying off BIG time. What is so nice about it is NO waders can get into it and ruin it! The finds are all 9 - 90' down on a dropoff. However I have NOT been much past the thermocline!! I have a 5 mil suit and as soon as I hit it I know it!! I have been able to play a little deeper for a little while but I get too dang cold!!! I will sometime soon rent a 7 mil and take the big plunge!!

However, in Michigan you can and will find hotspots on just luck. So many houses are on lakes that used to have camps on them its totally not funny. I have gone around lakes searching really fast and get to a spot that has hit after hit after hit. One lake 2 years ago was a church camp for sure. Along with over 15 gold rings, silver religeous medals and coins all over.

You never know what you will find on Michigan lakes in front of million dollar houses. Lots of rich people have bought up land that used to belong to Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts. religeous groups and others.

GOOD luck in your quest!!!

NOW THATS A LOAD OF LOOT BOB:thumbup::fisher:CZS working like a champ, did you find the owner of the class ring yet?
thanks for the post i'm sure people lurking in the shadows will try and find the spot but its safe with me as you know i'll give you a call

wow is right. you have a lifetimes worth of finds there.just goes to show you that sometimes a tip from an old timer and a little .creative thinking can really pay off. the most silver i ever found in one day came from a drained out swimming hole. but nothing like the quanity you found. wow good luck keeping that place a secret. .

Scuba...are you hunting in all metal mode ?

I would get that thicker suit and keeping hunting deeper and deeper. Gotta love it !

No not all metal mode YET. I can stay in one spot and get 3 - 10 targets here. The beeps drive me crazy, and unfortunately because they are so close together and with iron I get multiple signals including iron. So I have my CZ-21 on 1 right now. After I pull out all the good targets I can and will go back to 0. But when I get high med low in one sweep, I fan my hand in the sand and keep digging till all the targets are gone. Its just a wonderful dropoff.

Nice, I have a spot at the wifes familys place that was a swimming quarry forever, but unfortunately I don't have dive gear up there, but will be hitting the land hard in a month...

This is one of the most inspirational posts i have read in a long time :clapping:

Summer vacation + new :garrett: Sea Hunter mark II + wetsuit = loads of fun for me and the start of my waterhunting adventures :) We don't really have many waterhunters here in Finland = better chances to find something interesting :) Garrett arrives tomorrow, can't wait can't wait :bouncy:

Outstanding hunt!

If anyone can date that lock, I'd appreciate it! I found a very similar one at an old home site.
Cheers,
tvr

Friend,
Judging from the type of Catholic Silver and name bracelets, along with silver coins, it seems like you are diving on a lake frequented by Soldiers in WWII...at least that is the same kind of stuff I used to pull out of Kingsley Lake at Camp Blanding Florida back in the 90s. Great stuff!
