Understanding Headphone Specifications, & Home Made Blast Limiters

Also an upgraded version with a spiral cord is Sony MDR-V500DJ Monitor Series Headphones. Same speakers. Pic on page 1 of this thread.
 
Just remember that there is no volume control on these so I have to keep the volume on my GT all the way down...but I don't have any trouble hearing even the real deep stuff. Besides, I can more easily tell how deep stuff is by the volume. Still want to try a limiter for these so I can then try cranking the volume up, otherwise surface blasts are too loud.
