U30 headphones - really that bad?

Been using the UR-30's for years. I'd be happy to buy any UR-30's , for the right price, that people don't want.

Hello everyone,
Its good to read all the comments on the suitability of the Koss UR30 Headphones while detecting with the CTX3030. I have been using the CTX now for about 15 months and in that time I have gone through 2 sets of Koss UR30 headphones due to faulty connection problems or cable failure . I look after these headphones at all times and have the WM10 in my pants pocket with the headphone cable connected to it. In my opinion as an Electrician /Electronic Technician the quality of the headphone cable has a lot to do with the failures and I believe they should have used a cable with better internal design to allow for flexibility and to eliminate wire damage. The other issue I have had with the headphones is the poor fitting of them while detecting they tend to work loose on my head and I was continually readjusting them and this was very annoying . I rectified this by attaching pieces of Velcro straps to the sides of the earphone cups so I could adjust them to fit tightly on my head and this eliminated them working loose while detecting.

Those short appear to be in the cheap plug. Pick up a good plug and replace when you get a chance. No prob with mine since I did that.
