Yesterday afternoon and a bit past dark. Got coin 1000 for the year. Four rings. One marked 10K but it's actually gold plated. Bummer. Four wheats. Some tokens. Coin from UK.

Today. This load of coins represents only 3.25 hours. That is almost a coin a minute. My back is screaming at me. I never moved more than about two steps without a signal. Got a 1933 Buffalo Nickel which was a surprise. A nice big 925 ring that fits my ring finger. My first 1 Euro coin ever. Is the Follow Me pin an Army infantry pin or Army infantry school pin?

I'm on a silver coin drought. I need some better silver sites.

That's a lot of knee bends with some great finds. Congrats on breaking the 1,000 coin mark for this year.....

GTI 2500 with stock coil both days. I wanted reduced weight.

:usaflag:Congrats! Are you hitting beaches or playgrounds or what? I can see where sand would make for fast digging because I know that sod and dirt take time. Way to go !!

Grass. Once you get proficient, you'll get better in grass. With a Pro-Pointer I can recover a coin in about 15 seconds and have the grass looking like I never disturbed it. If a target is deeper it takes more time. That Buffalo was fairly deep and took quite a bit longer. Keep practicing.

Great finds... WTG......
If my failing memory serves me.. the pin is
from the Infantry School
The actual Infantry pin/medal was /is
The CIB Comabt Infantry Badge

Blue sheild with a musket in silver

Rangers Lead The Way

I think that's right too. I'll show it to my buddy who's an infantry guy. He'll know for sure.
