Tried hunting for only gold rings today.

There is a way to kind of prove this. Contact a multi-line dealer and ask
them what they would recommend for a coin hunting detector. Most would
say Garrett as an excellent choice. Now tell them you want to hunt for gold
jewelry. Oh my....all kinds of answers on that one. Every dealer, chances are,
would give you a different answer. Give it a try and see what you find out.
Don't give them any clues though or mention any brand yourself. I think you
just might be surprised.

Yes, I agree with that. If it were some magic numbers and everyone knew them
I would have to wait in line at the sports fields I hunt just to get a parking spot.
Right now I can pretty much park wherever I want. Thanks for posting that quote
from the book David. First I have seen it. I don't have any of his books.
Good hunting to you ! Gene

I do very much. One thing I like about it is you explain the various features/functions and the reasons behind the settings. SO many "custom programs" are just a lot of numbers on a chart... no rhyme nor reason.

We shall see if I have the stamina and sense to put it all into practice.

Thanks, Clive
