"Treasure hunting" or "metal detecting" ?

that finds TREASURE

I like the term treasure hunter,HOWEVER I'm so redneck and blue collard that I say I'm going dirt fishing.every now and then I leave an empty for the next fellow:yo:

I'm hunting treasure, but detecting metal. So far, I've detected lots of metal, and found zero treasure. So, I'd say metal detecting more closely describes what I do.
:detecting:

I'm a treasure hunter through & through, it's gold & silver I'm after  newer coins pay for new detecting gear & the old coins get put away in the shed, don't get me wrong i like finding coins both new & old but i just don't get the satisfaction hunting them as i do from hunting gold & silver jewellery with my ultimate finds being old gold jewellery :detecting:.
i really don't think it hurts the hobby as the people who frown at us will still frown no matter if the name is changed :nono:.
so i say stuff the PC minded & wear our treasure hunter badge with honor i know i do :clapping: :goodnight:.
