Too cold to detect? Detecting winter blues.

It was 15 degrees yesterday with a feels like 6 degrees. I wanted to bundle up and go outside to detect and then it started snowing. On top of everything else I had some errands to run and then it was dark and cold. I would have probably still gone detecting but there was just too much to do. I did watch some detecting videos, which helped a little bit but still it is not the same as getting to go out and detect. How do you get through the winter months when there is crazy weather, frigid temperatures and snow and ice in the ground? I plan to go out as soon as the snow clears and it warms up just a little bit.

I drink a lot of hot chocolate, sleep in till around 10:00AM, take a two hour nap in the afternoon and wait for warmer weather.
We've got six inches of snow right now and I can't see it going anywhere soon.
What's really bad is I've got this really good spot to detect from the last time I was out

Since you cant dirt fish right now, try ice fishing. Its alot fun.

My area is snow covered too along with frozen ground and frigid temperatures.
Glad I got out those last few days before January and found a few coins… not much to do now other than wait it out.
Very seldom do we get these conditions and I usually can keep on detecting year around.
