Tone ID in Coin only search mode

In trying to learn more about my new V3i, I was coin searching a school yard today using the default Coin & Jewelry mode. (I just upgraded from my 30 year old Whites Eagle II sl). Anyway, I was getting so much noise in the lower VDI range I switched to Coin Only search mode. I quickly discovered that the Tone ID that was available in the Coin & Jewelry mode does not work on the Coin Only mode.

Is there a way to turn on the Tone ID feature while using the Coin Only search?

Howdy troutfly--

Go to expert menue by clicking "menue tab" twice. click "enter" . Scroll down to "live search screen" hit enter. Scroll down to "extend" push "enter". Scroll down to "search audio" . Push and hold "enter" while pushing arrow up. When "search audio" gets to the location that you want it on your Live Search Screen release the holds and squeeze and release the trigger. Now Search Audio should be on your Live Search Screen with the option of turning on or off of Tone ID!

I suggest that you use this procedure to place the most frequently made adjustments on your Live search screen. Best of luck and...
