This is from a park ive hunted many times juat that one spot thie ring and a 1916 wheatie. The ring is marked sterling inside. Not super deep it was along edge of lake. Suprised me it was not a silver coin numbers but tone made me dig it.

Any way you look at it that is a pretty nice find and it looks to be kind of on the old side.

Congrats,

Ron in WV

I have to agree with Ron. That ring does look old, and considering the age of the Wheat, it might be worth more time at that spot, maybe from a different angle. Nice finds...

Michael, very nice finds, Congrats! I know what you mean about a silver ring not ringing up like a silver coin. The ring was most likely sitting flat or at an angle in the ground and doesn't have the surface area of a silver coin.

Congrats! Love finding the silver rings. Bet that one sounded real good!

Thank you, it was not screaming high tone like silver coin. It was in really wet ground after a god rain and close to the lake edge. In roots maybe 5" deffintely needed pinpointer. Honestely i have hammered this place for years with different detectors and made some killer finds. Thank you for looking.
