Today's finds at the Fairgrounds

duggr

New member
I been avoiding hunting a particular area at the fairgrounds because several others have hunted it already!
Today I thought I might as well give it a shot. Below are the older finds from that area.

Below is a photo of the silver that I have found there so far...Two or three silvers are from last year as I started detecting it around November.
Definitely the best place I have ever hunted!! It's going to be hard to find another area that produces silver like this one..

Awesome finds! That '05 dime is a stunner! Thanks for the pictures.

That "old" silver sure is sweet looking!!

excellant digs and I'm drooling over that last pic of all the silver oldies!

Thanks John!
And thanks for the Upper rod that you generously sent me for nothing....I'm going to make
you up some Garrett AT pro Headphone connectors and send them to you as soon as I can...
Thanks a million!!

I do that myself and I even have the coins LOL...The fun is gone now, as I enjoyed the hunt
but the rewards are just sitting around...Maybe I ought to have someone bury the coins again!

If I could find a spot like that, I would never leave! That is really impressive, great digs!

Mark,
Found those three silvers on the football field.

Man you're having a field day vacuuming up those Barbers from that Fairground!
How large is that Fairground?

Track is around 1000' from one end to the other.
Track width is around 500' plus another 300' for parking and grandstand area..
There has been a lot of soil moved around so not every area has targets available..

impressive!!! I have hunted my fairground to death and have only managed one tenth of your finds
I never new the little town even had a fairgrounds until I read about it in my history books. There has been
a lot of soil turned around out there as they put a pond in and a couple ball diamonds and some putting greens
for golfers. Maybe all this has brought more coins to the depths the etrac can see them..I don't think any other
Etrac or explorer has been there until I started hunting it last November.I also heard that the very first hunters
that hunted the place in the 60's were finding all kinds of coins including large cents...What i wouldn't give for an
time machine.LOL:detecting:
