To All Of Our Friends In The Pacific...

I hope you will stay safe. The news says that a tsunami has been formed as a result of the massive quake in Chile and that practically everyone in the Pacific is at risk. They said that Hawaii will sound an alarm at 6am local time for people to start moving to high ground. I think even the west coast of the US and Alaska are not comletely out of the woods on this either. To all of you everywhere, you will be in my prayers, and especially the people in Chile. --Jerry

Nice thought T2. I live right on the Ca. Pacific coast and I have family preparing themselves in Hawaii where I once lived. Your sentiments are appreciated.

Hope everyone is OK out there, a friend of mine lives and detects in Hawaii. Just hope the waves are smaller than expected

Looks like it has turned out to be a non-event for Hawaii but I feel sorry for the Chileans. 8.8 is a huge earthquake and even with better building standards than places like Haiti, Chile has taken a lot of damage and loss of life.:(

Six foot waves in 20 minute intervals did little or no damage. Glad to hear Hawaii appears to have been missed the potential danger of the sumani. Heading that way in two weeks.

Hi Folks; Im back after a few days away due to minor back surgery. I pray everyone is ok.. May God be with you all.I have to get back to bed nw. until later; May God bless you all and yuors. PEACE:RONB :goodnight:

hi Barker, I pray your back heals fast and that you'll be up and moving around real soon. God Bless

Thanks, It was not nice to wake up to tsunami alarms this morning. We are all very happy to be able to report that the Tsunami was much less than it might have been. some reefs were sucked bare of water but we had no high water that caused flooding. Looked to me like 2 to 5 feet of water displacement depending on where it was viewed from. To my knowledge no water got high enough to cause any damage to anything. Murphy's law was put into action this morning when I got a call from a female family friend. Her home is on the beach, east side of Kauai and was under mandatory evacuation order. She complied but her car did not. first time in it's short life that the battery failed. She gave me a panic call so i went to the rescue just after daylight. Found her a new battery, swapped it out and then found her four cat cages so she could round up the critters and get them away from the water. all worked out well.

Tomorrow should be a normal day. will thank the Lord for sparing us.

Ken
