To all my Friends here

Dave was primary designer of the T2 as well as many legendary detectors -- MXT, GMT, Gold Bug, Lobo, Fisher 12xx and CZ series and others.

General; I luv you man. But having been in advertising for the first 10 yrs. And now in marketing for the last 20 plus years. What you people out there are now experiencing is basicaly called, bait and lure. Among other things.
I am very certain that General is a very honest and upstanding guy. But with that said. He is merely following what is dictated to him by the company that has the most interest in this venture.
If for a moment you think the blanket photo was not from the factory or powers that be. Then my brother has a very interesting piece of property to sell you. HH

so I didn't have to. :) Of course, I don't personally know anything here for sure, but I too understand marketing to a degree. I can certainly see where it would be advantageous for Fisher (FT) to make folks hold off on any new fall release detector purchases until FRL gets their new one out. Timing is important if not everything, and Fisher isn't first to the market this time around. I can certainly understand them engaging in some stall tactics to get people to hold onto their money awhile longer. Actually, I really hope the picture wasn't "real". If a new detector is gonna resemble a T2, it oughta be sold under the Technetics name IMO. Fisher is an old proud name and as such should be it's own entity as much as possible, not relegated to being the "Pontiac clone of the Chevrolet". I remember Ron was the front man for the Edge release and he did a good job geting folks charged up, myself included. :)
