Does The level of the threshold affect the depth that I will get a response on a good target?

I think as long as you can hear your threshold depth wont be affected.. gain is more apt to affect target volume.. I wouldnt run with no threshold tone as that might miss some deep targets that just change threshold tone for a second, my threshold is always at 7 and at the lowest tone setting

I dont seem to be able to get a a low enough threshold volume on my XS below 6 the tone dissapears completely but I find 7 far too loud.
Can anyone help me get a similar theshold volume to the Sov ?

thats a problem, not sure why they didnt have one more notch that was still audible.. what you can do is turn you headphone volume down till you get that threshold volume where you want it.. even if you have to up the gain a notch to get louder tones on deep targets

Hi Trev, I just turn the headphone's down till
threshold is comfortable, will likely loose the
very faintest of signal's but those are very very
seldom anyway.
Sometime's after searching an area long enough to
determine how much sensitivity can be used, I then
turn threshold to 6 & run silent.
Just my preferance. HH...jim s.
