Three freq running same time

Dears ... Why with new kruzer we should change the freq manually ... I think it will be good choice if the frequency working automatically in same time up and down to scan the all targets with better freq ... Same like Excalibur and equinox ... Regards

wont happen in the forseeable futre..Minelab owns most of the patents for true multifrequency (ie running more than one frequency at the same time),and they hang onto their patents for dear life, lol :)

True but there are always alternatives and better ways to achieve the same and/or better results ...this is what technology and innovation is all about.. if you work hard and are determined, anything is possible!

That's very true !

Patents are not a barrier, there are lots of ways to do simultaneous or sequential true multifreq which don’t infringe on patents.

The problem is the 10-15 MAN-YEARS of top talent engineering needed to design, debug and test a new multifreq detector. That means betting many millions of $ on a project which, in the end, may be unsellable.

Didn't White's V3i have something like that??

I maybe wrong, but I thought my Whites VX3 ran 3 frequencies at a time:confused:

you are correct..whites own that technology..licenced it first from minelab to about 2006 then minelab sold it to them..minelab was more interested in BBS and FBS at the time..

So I am not sure what patents Minelab has when it comes to multi frequency...and for that matter, how is multi frequency defined ? Two (or is that DUAL frequency ?) More than 2, harmonics, etc.

After 30 years in the hobby, I still have no clue when a detector manufacturer states the unit runs on multiple frequencies. I mean I have an idea but I first need to know what their definition is. Heck, if the darn thing works the way I want it to when and where I hunt, if I like using it and it finds me good stuff, it can run on ZERO frequencies for all I care.

I'm getting me a MULTI Kruzer ASAP. I like how it looks and the features it has, I like the audio (that kind of audio is keen to my ears), it's water proof for my needs and I like what I see on the videos.

Minelabs patents ran out a long time ago, nothing to do with that.

Fisher CZ's been doing simultaneous multi-frequency for a long time.

White's had the DFX, then a few years later then came out with the V3 (that detector had great potential).

So now we have the EQ, and if I were a betting man, I'd wager a paycheck or two that the great folks at NokMak have a thing or two up their sleeve.

Nokta / Makro seem to be moving VERY quickly with their technology. Keep an eye on these folks.

Cal of all the companies, imo Whites has missed a golden opportunity. With the V3I technology able to work in saltwater as well as being a very good land machine, it appears they just remained status quo. They should have used that tech in a lighter more modern unit like the Quest Pro.

That said the Multi Kruzer is my first Makro product. I'm excited to see how this thing performs over the long haul. I also agree with you, I think Makro does have something up their sleeve.
