Threashold Question

Hi all,

Quick question about threashold. I have been playing with all the settings on my machine as of late and I have noticed that my threashold background noise seems to cut out quite often now. I do believe that before I started playing around with my settings it was more consistant. I am just curious as to what settings would affect the threashold?

Cheers

The threshold cutting/blanking out is a result of the coil passing over a rejected/discriminated target. The VDIs you choose to accept and reject have an effect on this.By accepting all VDIs and assigning a zero tone to the ones you dont want, the threshold blanking out can be minimized. Also the recovery delay can affect how long the threshold blanks out.

That would make sense seeing I'm in a high trash area. Thanks for the help!

100% correct. I have all my big iron from -95 down to -11 set to 0 in custom tones. This cuts out all the junk for me.....
