Hi Mike,
I have a small problem, i asked you a question about my new Excalibur and was wondering if you answered or not because i can't remember which forum i wrote in,i have searched the beach forum and the Excalibur one too without success can you help please.

I commented on your success with the Excalibur and wondered if you had any tips to help me out.I have had lots of help from the other guys too but as an old profi i thought you could add to my knowledge any help would be appreciated.

cheers Maureen. (thirdbornau)

Maureen, here are some Tips, that I have used. I think they will work really well for you.
1) Set your machine in pin point mode (All-metal mode) 2) Turn your volume dial all the way clock-wise 3) Set the threshold control to a slight hum (like the buzzing of a bee) 4) SLOWLY sweep the search coil from side to side, keeping the coil as close to the ground as possible. You want to find a lg. enough area where there are no targets. Once you do, place the coil on the ground, switch disc. mode 5) Turn your sensitivity all the way CLOCK-WISE, SLOWLY sweeping your coil over the previously Lg. clean area, turn the sensitivity COUNTER-CLOCKWISE until you start to hear falsing. Falsing will sound like a small target, which you know is not there because you checked that are in All metal. Once you hear the Falsing, back off the sensitivity to the falsing stops. I hope this will help you become More successful at the beach ,if not you can do like I do and go get a "LUCKY RABBITS FOOT" P.S The last ring I found fit the Rabbit foot like a Champ
