any never was much good even though dang expensive when i bought it 12 yrs or so back. I could take the one out of the boat but it would be kinda clumsy:biggrin:
 
it would grab one satilite and lock on and move onto the second one and lock and move to the next etc. The new ones have a bunch of sensors that lock on to a bunch at one time. Those old things also were not worth a crap in the woods.

mine is pretty good in the woods. It is a few years old and the newer ones are better but mine works fine.
 
all the snakes had gone away though with cooler weather. Nothing like walking in the woods and rustling leaves in the fall! :)
 
there are some in Urban areas.

It is addictive. There are people that have found many hundreds of them.
