The smallest gold ring in the world? How small or big's yours?

I have found a few rings that are sub 1 gram

This one is 0.7, the same day I found another ring at 0.8 grams.

The one of the smallest gold is this earring with stone weighs in at 0.4 grams, I did also find another one at 0.3 grams with a pearl in.

The heaviest gold I have found was 20 grams :)

Hi,

an alliance 18k 0.8 gr
and a signet ring 18k white gold 23.9 gr

+ Heard of a medieval ring (around the year 1000) in 20k gold
a weight of 76 gr !! found to the detector on a beach (sorry no photo)

Wow! 76g that's a monster LE JAG! Woud love to see that one! Your 23.95 is big enough!
Robin B, your detector is picking up some great targets, what do you use?
Keep the pics coming guys, they are awesome!

Hi Water wizard

the 76 gr, was not found by me, unfortunately ....

I mainly use 5c Goldscan
with a carbon coil 14 "coil when the sand allows
and Pi prototype Manta
which takes very little, delay 8.8 us

this is one of my best hunting, early this year
100 square meters, a single tide :beers:

I am glad my finger is too small to wear this one! Made in Saudi Arabia and shown in Dubai.

The Najmat Taiba (Star of Taiba) is the world's largest gold ring. 5.17 kg of precious stones, and 58.7 kg of gold. No, it would never fit on your finger.

No, she does not have to me, sorry
just for the topic ...

I had the luck found some old rings
the oldest, dating from the 13th century
silver broken ...
very rare architectural type

I went to the beach yesterday. Got there later than I wanted but I had to get stitches removed from my right hand first.

Weather Guessers were predicting SSE winds of 8 mph and temps in the high 60's. I put on more clothes than I thought that I would need. High at the beach was 56 with 15kt winds from the NNE with gutst to 25kts. I was not over dressed.

Upon arrival at the beach I immediately started working an area that I thought might produce some jewelry. Found nothing so I hit another likely looking area and again nothing. I then hit the third area and first target was one of those low growling tones. I suspected either a gold ring or a piece of junk metal.

Dug the tone and the smallest ring that I have ever found appeared. I could see a 10k hallmark so I was not unhappy with the find.

Got it home and put it on my scales and they say that it is .5 gram. I think that a half gram of 10k might buy a couple cups of coffee at Starbucks.

I also located a sterling toe ring and a measly $3.95 in clad. Of course I dug the usual assortment of worthless zincolns.
