The Small coils are coming.

I only paid $95 for the Eliptical 5 x 10. I have my GT for the beach and I have my X70 for the parks (with the 6" concentric). Life doesn't get much better than that! HH to all!

Bfodnes.
I saw it in the price list on the Treasure Enterprises website. so there is no picture. Only in the manual.
Mick Evans.

Good to see David still has good connections with Minelab.

Here ya'll go...

X-TERRA:
No code yet 6" Concentric Coil - 7.5 kHz - Suits all models Available Mid 2007
No code yet 6" Round DD Coil - 18.75 kHz - Suits models 50 & 70 only Available Late 2007
2021-0073 9" Concentric Coil - 7.5 kHz - Suits all models 185.00
2021-0083 10" Round DD Coil - 7.5 k Hz - Suits all models 225.00
2021-0077 10" Coil Round DD Coil - 18.75 kHz - Suits models 50 & 70 only 225.00
2021-0077 9" Coil Round Concentric Coil - 3 kHz - Suits Model 70 only 185.00
2021-0078 9" Round Concentric Coil - 18.75 kHz - Suits models 50 & 70 only 185.00
2021-0082 10" x 5" Elliptical Coil DD Coil - 18.75 kHz - Suits models 50 & 70 only 195.00

Note that the prices are in Aussie...even though the Aussie is at near record trading against the greenback, it is more than probable that Americans get a much better deal...such is the life of living with paying for near or at full retail prices for our goods. I am still trying to convince myself that the 10" Coil Round DD Coil - 18.75 kHz is worthy of dropping 2 1/4 C notes on.

Its pretty unbelievable the amount of $ we have to pay for anything really. As I am aware its never mattered how much our $ stacks up against the U.S $ we have always payed through our ass cheeks!
Cheers!

I sort of know what you mean Nugget and in many ways some people do rip us off. I dont have a prob with Minelab because if you look back a good VLF machine which was at the time the best gold detector you could buy, the FT 16000, over a 15 years ago, cost $1200 to $1300 Aussie. You can buy the X Terra 70 which woops the old FT to death with an extra coil for the same price as it was, the FT, 15 years ago.
A new GP4000 is only around $100 more than the last model 3500.
BUT...other companies over here have, not all, ripped us off blind.
The Whites GMT on release in the US sold for $799 US. Here in OZ the same machine went for $2295 AUS. No ifs or buts we were getting robbed.
Not by Whites the company and I have no problems at all with them but by the Aussie distributer.
Check out , or do you recall the price of the Infinium when it was released over here? Check out the price now. Big diff which makes you wonder doesnt it.

I am from Norway and prices are worse then in Aussie. I am lucky enough to have a forewarding mailaddress in New Jersey.

You guys could have trusted friends that send You your detectors if the pricedifference in too much.

Dont let them rip you off, there is ways to fight back that will force them to lower the prices.

Yea mate we are all soldiers in a never ending battle against the mighty $......but we fight on regardless. Hows that toe goin mate?

BT just wondered do you have to buy your own detectors or do minelab supply them to you for your GG&T articles?
The price in OZ of the x-terra70 is a real rippoff the price in OZ dollars with the free extra coil is about $850AUD. in the US the same setup here $1340AUD. I know they say the US is a huge market but the bloody thinks are made here I would like one but I resent being robbed.

I'm glad you brought the price difference up on the Whites machine BT. That one stood out like a sore thumb, but it's not alone. It was probably the worst case though.
Bfodnes. If worst came to the worst, I'd simply order through Kellyco. You have got to pick who you are talking to though. JW would be the best.
Mick Evans.

G,day Kris.
Over the past 16 to 17 years which I have been detecting I have spent over $30,000 Aussie of my own money on detectors and the gear that goes with them. I write because I actually love writing and have done since my highschool days. I have written songs, short stories, poetry and factual expositions. Just dont tell too many people about the poetry bit.
I write because I like to, full stop. Sometimes I actually spend more writing a story, travelling to test sites, for photos etc than I make from them.
Hopefully when I write about a machine it helps those who read it to make an informed decision whether or not to buy one and to see if it fills their needs. I reckon ill keep doing so too for as long as I can.
And the toe Nugget? Going good till that damn dog stepped on it this morning. 3 weeks to go.

Keep writing those articles BT. I for one love reading them and as I'm currently ignorant of gold prospecting, I'm learning something out of each article.
Sorry to hear about man's 'best' friend:lol. He cracked me right up! You might have to start wearing some steel caped boots. Just don't detect with them.
Mick Evans.

Enough said!

Thanks BT for your reply, keep up the good work and its good to know that your not a dealer or a factory tester like some, no names no pack drill. LOL

kris
