The secrete to finding chains. :fisher:

Mud's house, sounds like a plan. So far my wife hasn't frowned to much on the hobby of metal detecting. In fact, she has been down right tolerant. Except for dirty clothes and hands, she other wise has somewhat of the idea it is a harmless hobby. I am afraid, though, if the likes of all you show up here in my back yard she just may get a taste of reality. Now you all take care, ya hear. And let me know the date of the gathering at Muds! HH jim tn

What Your backing out on the invite................ I was going to bring the soap for the big bath tub in your back patio area.... You know so it would be clean when we left...... I bought snake proof pj's at "Dicks' so no snake worries for me..........
And if you ever watched National Anthems Christmas vacation when the cousin showed up in the ratty Camper....... DELS doesn't look that bad.. so you won't be real embarrassed ... It only leaks a little oil..and we can all chip in and buy him a muffler for it so it's quiet....Think On this JIM............ we were about ready to finalize these plans..

Oh, alright! Google Memphis, Tx and upon entering town take a right and the first stop sign and then continue 2.7 miles and you will see a tall cactus. Take a left there and my place is the first one on the right at the bottom of the gully. Oh, but park the R V on the side of the road. Memphis has an ordnance prohibiting parking of boats, R V's and the like in yards and the code enforcer makes his rounds twice a week. Shoot, this just could be fun. Starting to look forward to it. Ya all drive safely, now ya hear. And I'll keep the light on for you all. HH Jim TX.

I ain't parkin my camper van off the side of no road!!!!!----Somebody could just drive it off iff'n they seen it before the tires went flat!!!------Besides that--iff'n it leaked oil on the road I might get in trouble for that---I'd be better off with it in your back yard!------Gotta think on this----how many of them chains do ya reckon Elton & I could find??????:detecting::huh:

Ok, ok, let me know when you all are coming. I am willing to share a chain or two. I just need a day so to check the ole bushes good so I can accommodate Elton's fear of snakes. HH jim tnj

Hey guys it is lookin' like a road trip and Southern hospitality at Jim's House!! (Minus the snakes) Ahh heck they only eat a mouse or two.

Be sure and let me know, now, as I want to be sure and alert the waffle shack waitresses that Mud is coming back and that they may want to have a few gallons of extra batter on hand. Suspect some of you all are heavy eaters. Oooohhhh, I me heavy hitters. Yeah, hitters! And El, not to worry. The creek that runs behind my back yard never, never, harbors crawling creatures. Well, very, very, seldom, anyway. See ya. HH jim tn

I knew I shouldn't have let my passport expire, this really sounds like fun.:beers: Living over the hill and on the other side of the pond just makes it too damn difficult.

Pete----You get that passport in order & I'm sure Jim will be more than happy to help you finance a flight over here for the festivities----he's a GREAT GUY!!!:thumbup:

 Del, I'm sure you're right....and all that silver he finds, he really must be rolling in it. That really is a kind offer of yours, and I'm sure that Jim appreciates to the hilt the fact that you recognise his admirable qualities of benelovence and good will to all...but would it be right of me to accept such kindness and then arrive to stamp all over his hunting ground. I dont suppose he'd mind that either??? He's also really lucky to have good friends who are prepared to put themselves out to promote his good character:buds: Take care, Pete.

One of the great things about this hobby is you make a lot of good friends through the forums. You know, at least from my perspective, it would be grand to hook up and swing and tip a couple with you all. HH jim tn

I second that sentiment, Jim. Many of the posts reflect a high degree of comradeship in the sharing, help and support offered to one another. Then there is the humour....

You dont need a passport anymore Furious T...just walk on in and make yourself at home! You may need one to get out though...I better check and see if mines expired:rofl:
Mud...

I always pay my own way, but how far do you think it is from central Mo to Tn? If you know what hyway should I take LOL!!!:heh:

Is this wonderful gathering going to be in Memphis, TN or Memphis, TX???????----Want to make sure I take the right turn!!-----The kids & dogs get fussy if they're on the road too long!!!-----I already bought enough oil to make the trip!

[attachment 313875 45da3e93cec53d9247853a1703cd5a41.jpeg]Hey jim,, we are rolling down rt 40 right now, gps says we'll be there bout midnight so if you could just leave a light on we will try to be quiet... oh ya if you have an outside outlet and garden hose hook up that would be great...now you just rest easy ,we'll get these 18 airstream campers all set up in the backyard ...night night and we'll talk huntin strategies in the morning...

18 airstreams? O.K., I know I can fit at least 21 in my back yard. That's how many were here when the Steak Chompers came for our annual possum road kill barbecue.

always digging 2, just about any highway running north and south from central Mo will get you here. And while you always pay your own way, would you mind helping Del and Elton out a tad? Both of them are probably very nearly detector poor. They just can't seem to land that one special killer detector.

Travel safe and I will leave the light on. Oh, least I forget, my wife and I will be gone chasing the elusive walleye. HH jim tn
