Somebody ought to be drawn and quartered for this insane invention. Fancy not thinking about us poor metal detectorists when they came up with this one. On the up side, there's bound to be a screw cap collector out there somewhere that we can value add our finds with.:devil:

It's the pulltab guy I want to have a discussion with.
 
They are a plague. So are pop tabs and pull rings.
However, if you look at the bright side and we get them all dug up, we can find those deep targets that all the screw caps, pop tabs and pull rings have caused us to miss.
You know when you get tired and start just swinging the coil too fast just to say you are through and you can go home? They say you miss a lot of good targets that way.
 
:laugh: you guys have it easy, the city workers here just cut cans into a thousand pieces with lawnmowers instead of picking them up and then they are scattered by the mowers in parks
