The real reason I'm getting a CTX......

.... is so that I can find a seated quarter.

Let me explain. You see when I was using my Explorer SE I could not find a silver quarter at all. Went a couple years with plenty of silver dimes but absolutely no silver quarters. So I sold it and bought an Etrac to break the curse.

Now with the Etrac, I found 24 silver quarters in the past couple years. Washingtons, Standing Liberties, and Barbers but it won't find a Seated quarter and that has been my main coin goal for the past 3 years. So if the Etrac won't do it, it's gotta go.

The CTX will be in my hands soon and we will see if it can break the seated quarter curse

Well Ray if it is just training I'm lacking then I blame you. I've paid you very well (with my company) to teach me the Etrac and now I find out you were holding out on me! Especially now that my Etrac is gone and I've already spent thousands of dollars on a new machine to break a curse that doesn't even exist!!!!!

The seated quarter is what i need too, got many seated dimes and even 3 silver dollars plus many IH pennies and need the seated quarter and the 2 cent piece and a seated half would be nice too. Those that detect with me have from sites i have found, but I haven't yet, but with the new CTX 3030 I expect to find the first one than after I get my first one and break the curse many more will follow.
Ever notice that when you look and look for one type of coin and cant find it but when you do many will follow. I wanted a walker half dollar years ago and found 4 Barber half and 3-Franklin half but no walker half and after 3 years I found my first one and broke the curse as I got 4 more in the next 2 months.

I know what you mean Rick. Had that happen to me with the Barber half. Went 20+ years without one. Finally got my first the end of last year and got another one 3 weeks later.

the E-trac found me an 1877 quarter.. Not the detector, you just did not go over one..HH

The E-Trac is kinda like a high strung lady or child in that in order to train them properly you must let them run wild from time to time instead of throttling them back all the time In other words set your E-Trac to manual 26 and above and let her run free rather than choking her down in auto +3 all the time
